Are you looking for a rewarding Support Worker role in Plymouth?

New Direction Support is expanding and we’re looking for Non-Complex Community Support Workers to join our dedicated team. We’re proud to hold Gold Investors in People accreditation, recognising our commitment to staff development, wellbeing, and career progression.

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with additional needs—helping them live independently and thrive within their communities.


About the Role

  • Provide support in individuals’ homes and within the community
  • Follow tailored support plans to help people maintain tenancies, manage bills, and develop life skills
  • Work professionally, calmly, and methodically in a variety of situations
  • Uphold company policies and procedures at all times

We’re looking for caring, patient, and reliable individuals who are flexible and able to work some weekends.


Working Hours & Contracts

We offer a range of working patterns to suit different availability:

  • 24–36 hours per week (minimum contract)
  • Shifts typically run between 08:00–20:00, or 08:00–22:00 with a sleep-in
  • Must be flexible and able to work weekends


Training & Development

You’ll receive full training, including:

  • Online mandatory training
  • In-house training delivered by New Direction Support
  • Ongoing career development and qualification opportunities, including apprenticeships
